I was loyal to Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer for over five years. I used it every single day. My skin was its best self with this product. Until it wasn’t. The brand decided to reformulate it and though some claim it’s better than ever, this wasn’t the case for me. So set forth a very long round of R&D to find a suitable replacement. 

The silver lining of being forced out by a reformulation is that you discover new brands and products about which you might never have known. Enter: Erborian. I had never even heard of this brand until I came across it earlier this year. On a whim, I decided to give their BB Creme (I ordered it in the Clair shade) a go. To my surprise, I fell in love with it on the first try. It’s super lightweight yet gives me the coverage I need on an everyday basis. It’s also worth mentioning that it’s filled with good-for-your-skin ingredients which means no irritation for my sensitive complexion. Sold.

It was a slippery slope from there. (If the shoe fits!) I have since ordered a handful of their products (including the CC Red Correct which is a lifesaver for those of us who have rosacea!) and really love every single one. Rather than relying only a single product like I was doing with the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, I now alternate between different ones, depending on what my skin needs that day.
