I have never liked going out to dinner on Valentine’s Day. I much prefer to celebrate the holiday at home. (Fact: I feel the same way about New Year’s Eve.) Whether that’s a Galentine’s pizza night, a romantic dinner for two (you’ll need candles!), or morning donuts with the kiddos, I love any excuse to set a table.
Valentine’s Day has all the makings for a festive-with-a-capital-F table – think: hearts, candy, flowers, and loads (!) of pink. No matter what your plans are, don’t hold back. Below, a shopping list of items to help you set the scene.
GINORI ORIENTE DINNER PLATE
This Ginori pattern comes in a handful of colors but this one, in my opinion, is the very best. It’s punchy and adds an instant festive touch to any table – Valentine’s or not!
HOUSES & PARTIES CRIMSON & CREPE TABLE LINENS
These linens are dreamy! They certainly work well for Valentine’s Day, but aren’t limited to that holiday alone.
NO ONE ALIKE PARTY CRACKERS
Party poppers are always a hit and add a festive flair to any table.
PINK FORTUNE COOKIES
Serve takeout Chinese food and add these in for dessert.
QUEEN OF HEARTS HEADBAND
Queens of hearts! Place these at each seat.
RASPBERRY RIPPLE CARNATIONS
Carnations are underrated.
RUMCAKE STUDIO CUSTOM MENUS
The perfect excuse (not that you need one!) to order a custom set of menus from Rumcake Studio.
DASH HEART WAFFLE MAKER
On the menu: breakfast for dinner! Tell everyone to show up in pajamas and serve waffles and wine.
PINK TINSEL FRINGE GARLAND
Festive with a capital F. Set the tone.
PINK PLASTIC CUPS
Fill these up with your favorite (expensive!) Champagne.
HEART DRINK STIRRERS
Add these to an ice-cold martini – or any cocktail of your choosing.
