THE BEST SLIPPERS FOR COZY DAYS AT HOME

JENNI KAYNE Slippers

The holidays (and the year 2020, for that matter) are prime cozy-at-home time. Having a fabulous pair – or four? – of pajamas (my favorites here), a plush robe, and some chic sweats are all musts. And for the finishing touch? Slippers, of course.

I’ve always loved a good pair of house shoes but this year has really made me up my game. I invested in a couple of new pairs, including these that I wear nearly every single day. I also recently bought a pair of Olivia Morris slippers that are really fabulous. They make me feel dressed up, even when I am certainly not. I even got George in on the action with these cozy L.L. Bean booties.

The truth is the options for slippers has never been better. There’s everything from utilitarian-classic moccasins to luxe backless velvet mules in the richest of colors – or neutrals, if you prefer, thanks to The Row. Jenni Kayne’s shearling slides have been all the rage (note: if you want to snag a similar-ish option for less, check out these) since the beginning. Vince recently got in on the game with their shearling-lined style that are already in my cart. For an ultra-cozy option, this pair should totally do the trick, or opt for a pair of cashmere mules (and maybe these socks, too?) instead. Co has these cute cashmere sock-slippers for $89. Looking for something under $50? See here and here.

Like I said, lots of options. Below, a full shopping list with the very best pairs to snag for lazy days ahead.
