THE BEST THINGS I’VE READ AND WATCHED THIS SUMMER
Extra time at home means more time to make my way through the pile of books on my bedside table and binge watch a few new (and some old) shows. I’ll be honest: for awhile there, I wasn’t watching anything new. I was actually re-watching old favorites (lots of Friends episodes and zoomed right through Dawson’s Creek for the millionth time) out of a need for comfort. The beginning of quarantine had me feeling anxious and there was something so comforting about cozying up on the couch (preferably in my new sweats) and watching a high school drama along with old movies like Sabrina and Clueless. Anyone else with me here?
With that said, I did finally add some new shows (note: a number of them are pretty dark but they kept me entertained) into the mix. I also managed to make my way through a few books, though I do still have quite a tall stack to go. Below, a quick list of the standout favorites so far.
