THE BEST POINTED-TOE MULES FOR SPRING
It’s always right around this time when I start to grow very weary of winter. I start to itch for a change in season. Instead of focusing on what seems like a never-ending stream of grey days, I’m thinking ahead to spring – specifically, by shopping for it.
First on my shopping list: a new pair of shoes (or two). I’m setting my sights on mules, specially those with a pointed toe. There’s something about this shoe style that’s decidedly classic. They work dressed-up or down, and look just as chic at the office as they do with a pair of denim (still loving this $98 pair) on the weekend. The thing that’s great about a pointed-toe mule is that while they work year-round (they’re seasonless!), they really make a perfect in-between-season shoe before we transition fully into open-toe sandals (and when that happens, I plan on wearing these and these). My all-time favorites will forever be the Maysale from Manolo Blahnik. I have them in several colors (currently eyeing this white pair!) and find that I never tire of them. (Fun fact: to score a pair for less, I suggest stalking this page for your size.) I wear them with everything – denim, dresses, skirts, you name it.
Of course, they’re not the only pair out there. There’s plenty more to see, including this gingham pair that I just added to my cart. While I love the kitten heel on those, I’m just as enamored with a flat style. I’m eyeing several of those right now, like these from Nicholas Kirkwood.
