WHITE JEANS AFTER LABOR DAY IS A-OKAY
I’ve never been one to abide by the fashion “rules” – especially the one that says you can’t wear white after Labor Day. The fact that one should be expected to put away all of their whites on a certain day (summer isn’t even technically over just yet!) seems totally passé to me. While I’d admit that a white cotton dress (though I really love this one) doesn’t quite feel right at the end of September, that same cannot be said for white denim.
I think white denim (or any white pants for that matter) can totally be worn year-round, if you want. The key to making it work is all about the pairings. This brings to me one of my favorite color combos for fall: camel and white. This color pairing has always been a go-to of mine this time of year – not only because I love the way it looks together, but because it lets me get away with continuing to wear my white jeans. It’s a combination that makes the transition from summer to fall a seamless one.
At the beginning of fall, I love wearing light sweaters like this one ($35 at H&M!) and this one with my white skinnies and topping it off with white flats or my white sneakers. When the weather starts to get cooler, layer on the camel coat (obsessed with this one) and sub out the flats for a pair of leather boots like these. Note: I also love the way tortoise accessories and gold jewelry look as a finishing touch.
I’ve put together a full shopping list with my favorite pieces in all shades camel to white so you can get the look. Scroll through below to shop.
