HOW TO CREATE A MAGICAL CHRISTMAS TABLESCAPE

No season is more ripe for a more-is-more approach to decorating than the holidays. It’s a maximalist’s time to shine! As I like to say: start with the tree, but certainly don’t stop there…

Whether you’re hosting a casual ornament exchange over pizza or a formal dinner for 12, setting the scene begins with your table. It should be noted that you certainly don’t need a set of Christmas china to make it happen. (Even though I certainly wouldn’t mind having this one, if anyone is asking.) When it comes to a holiday tablescape,  there are so many different directions you can take: keep it classic with crimson touches leading the way, make it all about metallics with silver and gold accents against a crisp white tablecloth, or go for the Christmas clash and festoon with abandon. The key is just to commit and don’t hold back.

Below, a holiday hit list with everything (from the big ideas to the tiny details) you need for a magical Christmas scene.

MARCH MARBLED PARTY CRACKERS

Whether it’s the holidays or a birthday party in the middle of summer, party crackers are the quickest festive fix for a table. Filled with games, paper crowns, and more, these are a must-have for the occasion.
