FRESH WORKOUT WEAR FOR THE GYM AND BEYOND

When it comes to working out, a little motivation goes a long way. While I’d love to tell you that my overall health is enough to get me moving, the truth is that sometimes I need a little extra push in the form of a new gym ensemble – or three. There’s no time like the present – it is January, after all…
In addition to playing tennis (check out my tennis favorites here), my workouts consist of a combination of walking on the treadmill (mainly 30-minute incline walks with wrist weights) and pilates. While neither of these are necessarily high-impact activities, I still need all the support in the form of comfortable pieces that allow for plenty of movement – think leggings that will actually stay up (I’m still a die-hard Lululemon “Align” fan), sweat-wicking tops, and good sports bras, to name a few. And since I am usually squeezing in my workout in between meetings and school dropoffs, I like to feel put-together, not sloppy. Matching sets are key here. The finishing touches? First, outerwear. I love an oversized fleece and live in the ones found at Tuckernuck and Outdoor Voices. When it’s really cold like it is right now, I layer on a puffer. (Tory Sport makes the chicest ones, in my opinion. I love this one.) Lastly, a great pair of sneakers. I am currently alternating between this pair and this pair)
