WHAT I WORE LAST MONTH
It’s official: fall – and its cooler weather! – has arrived. You can actually see the seasonal shift take place in my looks last month: beginning with cotton dresses (I love the autumnal palette in this Cara Cara one) and ending with a tip-toe into sweaters. It also helped that I traveled to cooler climates – first, NYC and Watch Hill, Rhode Island followed by a magical trip to Paris (still here!). This really gave me (and my wardrobe) a jump start to the new season.
Here, my five hero pieces from the month of September – plus a shopping list at the end!
- A great pair of black pants is as indispensable to me as jeans. These pants from Frame check every box: comfortable, flattering, and (!), they show almost no wrinkles – even after being jam-packed in a suitcase.
- Same goes for a pair of not-quite-pants (especially during the summer-to-fall transition) which is why I have the same Frame pants as above in the cream color.
- It’s been a long time since I’ve found a sneaker (beyond my beloved New Balances) I love as much as I do Rothy’s RS02. These aren’t for runs on the treadmill but rather for wearing everywhere else – except the gym. Not only are they incredibly comfortable, but stylish, too. I love them so much that I bought two pairs – black and green.
- My Blazè Milano blazer is an oldie-but-goodie. It’s easily my most-worn piece and worth every pretty penny.
- Kule’s cotton sweaters are so good. They’re chunky enough that they feel cozy, but not so thick that they can’t be worn throughout the warmer months. I have this one in two colors.
