Denim Refresh: 8 Pairs of Jeans I’m Loving Right Now

TOP // JEANS // SANDALS // BAG

When it comes to essentials, nothing tops the list quite like a great pair of jeans. A tried-and-true staple, denim is the ultimate workhorse of any wardrobe. While I have a solid line-up of go-to jeans (still obsessed with these), I’m always on the hunt for the next best pair. With a new season quickly approaching, it’s the perfect time for a denim refresh.

The jeans I tend to gravitate towards the most are classic, straight-leg styles that are cropped to hit just above my ankle. There are a few pairs that check all the boxes for me here, including: the “Cynthia” style from Reformation, the “London” jeans from SLVRLAKE,  and Frame’s “Le Jane Crop.”  Those three pairs have remained in my rotation for years. And while I’m certain I could survive with just those three forever, why would I when there’s a world of denim out there to try?

Below, a peek at seven pairs of jeans I’m loving right now – and one that I want to try next.

SLVRLAKE LONDON CROP JEANS

These oldies-but-goodies remain a go-to for me for lots of reason but mainly because the fit is just right. I love where they line up on my waist (super high) and they’re a perfect length for wearing with flats or heels.

REFORMATION CYNTHIA JEANS

These Reformation jeans check every box for me when it comes to denim: high-waisted, straight-leg, no stretch, and the ideal length for wearing with ballet flats or a pair of heels. What really levels these jeans up for me though is the “Colorado” wash. It’s my idea of the perfect blue – a timeless shade that can easily be dressed up or down.  Hot tip: these jeans have zero stretch so if you are in between sizes, go up. FRAME DENIM LE JANE CROP

If you’re looking for a classic pair that’s ever so slightly relaxed, this is your pair! I am obsessed with this style. (I actually own it in two different washes.) The denim has zero stretch (my preference) but doesn’t feel rigid or stiff when wearing. In fact, the denim actually just gets softer and better with more wear.

AGOLDE REN JEANS

There’s never a time when there’s not at least (!) one pair of Agolde jeans in my rotation. Right now, that pair is the brand’s “Ren” jeans. They have a slim wide leg (too wide is too much for me) while still being fitted in all the right places. They’re a great daytime pair of jeans.

LA LIGNE MEREDITH JEANS

Fall is the perfect time to transition out of bright whites and in to creamy-dreamy washes. This pair from La Ligne checks the box. The shade of ivory looks so good with fall hues – think chocolate brown, burnt orange, and mustard yellow. Most importantly, though, the fit is A+.

SHOP

CITIZENS OF HUMANITY GAUCHO JEANS

These are one of my most-worn pairs of jeans. With a perfect lived-in blue wash, these jeans are cut with a wide-ish leg that hits at just the right spot on my ankle. I balance the leg volume out by wearing a more fitted silhouette (a white tee or lately, this cashmere sweater) on top. Hot tip: Though they are meant to have a relaxed fit, I still think they run a little big. Go down a size if you aren’t sure.

SHOP

PISTOLA ALLY JEANS

I ordered these on a whim and so happy I did. They are perfect in every way. They are beyond comfortable (soft without being super stretchy) and the barely-there flare at the ankle is just right for wearing with boots this fall.

SHOP

LE JEAN JULIETTE JEANS

These are currently in my cart and by the time you’re reading this, I’m sure they’ll be on a UPS truck headed my way. I normally don’t venture into colored denim but I’m making an exception for these. A mix of brown and olive green, the color is an ideal neutral for fall. It will look good with everything from a white tee to a chunky navy and white stripe sweater.
