Is there anything better than a cashmere sweater? Our latest cold snap had me bundling up – both indoors and out! – in my coziest cashmere kits. There’s just something soothing about an extra soft cashmere sweater, be it a chunky turtleneck or classic crewneck (J.Crew makes the best ones).Not to mention, they’re a winter wardrobe essential, working their way into all kinds of looks – from casual, errand-running ‘fits to dressier occasions. The price tags on some can often induce sticker shock (but worthy of the investment, in my opinion), but there’s also a number of great options from brands like Cos, Me+Em (I wear this one all the time), and Everlane that ring in at $350 and below.
With plenty of winter weather still to come, now’s the time to take stock of your cashmere selection – and then refresh accordingly. (Perfect timing, too, since so many good ones are currently on sale!) Here, a hit list of my favorite ones to get you started.
KHAITE AMARIS FAIR-ISLE SWEATER
Khaite is the queen of cashmere. It has the softest, most luxurious feel to it. It also comes with a price tag that isn’t for the faint of heart – but the quality speaks for itself. Fair Isle isn’t my usual go-to but – no surprise here – Khaite’s version is chic as can be.

If you’re looking for a good deal, Everlane’s cashmere turtleneck should do the trick. Ringing in around $250, it’s a great bang-for-your-buck buy.

What I love about this Kule sweater is that it’s lightweight enough to wear year-round. During the winter, it makes for a perfect layering piece and in the summer, it’s a must-have when the A/C is cranked all the way up. Buy one in every color.

When it comes to classics, J.Crew’s cashmere lands near the top of the list. With a slightly cropped length, this deliciously-soft roll-neck is my favorite with a pair of high-waisted denim. I want it in every color.

La Ligne’s sweaters are cult favorites at this point. The brand’s “ Toujours” style is really the best one of all. The relaxed crewneck sweater is crafted in a super-soft ribbed cashmere that you’ll want to wear morning, noon, and night.

I have this one in grey and wear it so much that I might need to invest in this winter-white version as well. There’s nothing more classic than a crewneck and this one is one of the best. It’s perfectly oversized and the weight (not too heavy and not too light) is just right.

Brighten up those dreary winter days with colorful cashmere. This crewneck is one of my all-time, most-worn sweaters. It’s incredibly soft and has a perfectly relaxed shape to it, making it a daily go-to for me. Trust me when I tell you that it’s worth every pretty penny.
