FRESH WORKOUT WEAR FOR THE NEW YEAR

CLOCKWISE FROM TOP LEFT: JACKET // HEADPHONES // HALF-ZIP // LEGGINGS // BALA BANGLES // SNEAKERS // HAT // HALF-ZIP // SOCKS // WATER BOTTLE

When it comes to working out, a little motivation goes a long way for me. While I’d love to tell you that my overall health is enough to get me moving, the truth is that sometimes I need a little extra push in the right direction. The quickest fix? A refresh of my workout wardrobe.

As much as I switch it up with my workouts (currently, I’m alternating between 30-minute incline walks with Bala bangles on a treadmill, pilates, and lots of tennis), I need variety in my workout wardrobe. When I’m on the treadmill, I need all the support in the form of leggings that will actually stay up (I’m still a die-hard Lululemon “Align” fan), sweat-wicking tops, and cushioned sneakers. Pilates calls for an equal amount of support, with stretch being top priority. Comfortable (think: this jersey top) pieces that allow for plenty of movement are key. Beyond Yoga’s high-waisted leggings are a go-to here, and I love that they have matching tops in the same color (love this chocolate brown right now) so I can complete the set.  As for tennis, I like to hit the court in matching sets, including favorites from L’Etoile Sport and Alo Yoga (lots of time spent in the brand’s pleated skirts). I also love a good tennis dress. My favorite ones lately have come from Alo Yoga (this collared one is the best), and Lululemon

Of course, we all know that an actual workout isn’t required to sport the look. (Running errands with two kiddos is a workout in itself and totally counts!) Whether you’re looking with a specific activity in mind or simply want to level up your morning carpool-line look, the hit list below has you covered.

Ahead, my favorite workout wear for the gym – and beyond!
