WHAT I’M EYEING AND BUYING THIS MONTH
Saying bye to summer is always bittersweet, but I’m looking forward to a new season. September feels like a fresh start, and what better way to kick it off than by shopping for it? From one-and-done dresses to the handbag I’m eyeing, read on for a peek at what’s on my shopping list this month.

NILI LOTAN JANE BELT
I find myself in the mood for belts lately. I love the way they add a finishing touch to a look. This Nili Lotan one has all the makings of a wardrobe workhorse. It’s a classic style in a great width to pair with so many different things.

These high-waisted Nili Lotan jeans are a new favorite in my closet. With patch pockets and a subtle ankle flare (read: perfect for those of us who were not blessed with super long legs), they have a vintage vibe about them that I love. The longer length is ideal for boot season.

COS CASHMERE TURTLENECK SWEATER
It will be a minute (read: 6-ish weeks if we’re lucky) before the Texas temperatures deem it sweater weather, but that won’t stop me from shopping for it. The good ones go fast, after all. Cos always does me right in the cashmere department. They’re deliciously soft (not itchy!) and the quality is that of something much, much more expensive.

MANGO RHINESTONE BALLET FLATS
Ballet flats are my go-to when it comes to footwear, and while I rarely veer from Chanel (the best), I’m happy to throw in a wild card every now and then. I love Mango’s take on a fancy flat. They’re comfortable (that’s key!), and I love that I can wear them with an LBD or – more often – a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Bonus: they’re $100.

This long-sleeve polo is perfect for those days when you want the comfort of a t-shirt, but with a bit more polish. It’s made from ultra-thin wool, too, making it ideal for the transition from summer to fall.

Time to restock! This highlighter is the hero of my makeup lineup. It delivers just the right amount of warmth (read: bronze, but not too bronze), giving my skin that sun-kissed glow my pale skin so needs.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: every girl needs this dress in her closet. I love it so much that I own it in multiple colors. The fit-and-flare design is classic and really so flattering – not to mention, comfortable, too. It’s the perfect day-to-night dress.

I own this tote in green and after weeks spent lusting after a second color, I finally went for it in the saddle brown leather. This tote is truly one of my most-carried handbags. It’s chic, roomy, and, like most everything from The Row, it only gets better with more wear.
