If there’s one thing I learned from last week’s IG Q&A, it’s that dresses are the number one item on your shopping lists. From birthday celebrations to weddings (so. many. weddings.), there are countless dress-wearing occasions ahead. With that in mind, I’ve curated another dress edit – this one focusing on the best options under $500.  

I’ve perused the web and found a number of chic occasion dresses with price tags that won’t break the bank. Headed to an outdoor get-together? Take advantage of all the poplin styles (this Cara Cara mini is clearly my favorite) while it’s still warm. Need a date-night number? This dress is an essential. I love the square neckline, and the fit-and-flare silhouette is just so good. There are plenty of more formal options that fall in this price range as well. This strapless silk dress would easily work for cocktail or black-tie. Bonus: it comes in so many color options! On that same note, this Staud gown (currently in my cart) is chic and so perfect for a black-tie event this fall. What I really love about it is that you could easily swap out heels for a pair of flat gold sandals for a future special occasion at the beach.
