8 SKIN PRODUCTS I’M LOVING RIGHT NOW

The beginning of a new season is always the perfect time to do a mini refresh of my skincare products. This is especially true during the summer when, thanks to triple-digit temperatures and extra sun exposure, my skin is most prone to a panic attack – think: dry, itchy, and red. While there’s no need for a complete overhaul, a few small tweaks here and there make a big difference.

Below, 8 skincare products – from the best eye-masks to a new sunscreen discovery –  in my current rotation.

iS CLINICAL CLEANSING COMPLEX

This gel-based cleanser lathers up and gets my skin squeaky clean without drying it out. It’s a great option if you have sensitive skin.

SISLEY-PARIS EXFOLIATING ENZYME MASK

This is the perfect product for those who want a gentle but effective (!) exfoliator. The magic is really in the texture. It’s a fine powder that, when mixed with a little water, transforms into a foamy cream. I apply it to my face and let it sit for one minute before rinsing. The result is super soft and glowy skin. I use it two-three times per week.

JILLIAN DEMPSEY EYE MASK

At this point, I feel like I have tried a million of these bio-cellulose eye masks. Some of them do absolutely nothing and then there are others that are absolute miracle-workers. Jillian Dempsey’s  are in the latter category. I apply these under my eyes (10 minutes!) whenever I am feeling especially dehydrated or puffy. Hot tip: I keep mine in the fridge so I get an extra cool-down when I apply.

SISLEY-PARIS BLACK ROSE CREAM MASK

I have so many friends that have raved about this mask for years. I can’t believe that it took me so long to try it. Just a thin layer and fifteen minutes in this mask is all it takes to make my skin look refreshed and hydrated. Hot tip: when my skin is feeling extra parched, I apply it in place of my nighttime moisturizer and wear it overnight.

THE BEAUTY SANDWICH SECRET SAUCE

I bought this after hearing Lauren Santo Domingo rave about it on this podcast, Update: it’s as good as she said it was.  I use it in between my serum and moisturizer. With a consistency that’s similar to Vintner’s Daughter, it feels like I’m giving my skin the drink of water it needs. My skin feels nourished and super soft.

ELTAMD UV CLEAR SPF 46

If you’ve been following for even just a short amount of time then you no doubt know about my love for this sunscreen. I’ve been using it for about 10 years (!) which makes it my longest relationship with a beauty product yet. It’s lightweight, fast-absorbing, and never makes me break out. Since I find that my skin feels so hydrated after all of the above, I skip a moisturizer and instead apply this as my last step.

iS CLINICAL ECLIPSE SPF 50+

Having kids has exponentially increased the amount of time I spend outside ergo my exposure to the sun. I have had to be extra diligent when it comes to SPF. This is the one I use when I know I am going to spending a lot of time outside or in the pool (it’s waterproof!). I am always surprised that, despite being SPF 50, it feels incredibly light and never leaves any sort of white residue on my skin.

BIOPELLE MOISTURIZER

A dermatologist recommended this to me as a nighttime moisturizer. It is packed with Growth Factors, which is supposed to be beneficial for anti-aging (music to my 30-something-year-old ears). While I can’t say that it’s turning back the clock just yet, my skin is overall more hydrated and less red after using it.
