6 PAIRS OF JEANS IN MY CURRENT ROTATION
JEANS // BODYSUIT // SUNGLASSES
PHOTOGRAPHY BY SARAH MECKE
When it comes to essentials, nothing tops the list quite like a great pair (or six) of denim. It’s the ultimate workhorse of my wardrobe and, after essentially going 9 months without them during pregnancy, wearing them again feels like I’m reuniting with an old friend.
While I certainly have my tried-and-true favorites (these!), the truth is, my denim rotation is an ever-changing lineup. There’s no one single pair that I swear by, and even when I land on a new pair that comes as close to perfect as it gets, I’m still on the hunt for the next best ones (considering these for spring). Bottom line: a lot of R&D goes into my denim selection.
Looking for your next best pair? This list might help. Read on for a peek at the jeans I’m living in right now.
KHAITE VIVIAN BOOTCUT FLARE JEANS
Khaite makes some of the best jeans out there. The fit is always right and – like magic – the more you wear them, the better they get. The Vivian style is one I reach for on both casual and dressy occasions. With a super high waist and an ever-so-slight flare at the ankle, these jeans are flattering and look good with pretty much any shoe.

PISTOLA DENIM CASSIE CROP JEANS
My most-worn style of denim is a straight-leg that crops at the ankle and has little to no stretch. These jeans check all of those boxes. I bought them on sale (under $100!) a couple of weeks ago and have worn them non-stop since. They’re so comfortable, and they hit at just the right spot on my ankle, making them a perfect pairing with flats or heels.

7 FOR ALL MANKING ULTRA SKINNY KICK JEANS
While I normally favor non-stretch denim, these have managed to become one of my go-to pairs. They have a super high-rise and are incredibly comfortable. I love the kick-flare at the ankle.

LEVI’S RIBCAGE STRAIGHT-LEG JEANS
If you aren’t familiar with my love affair for the Ribcage style from Levi’s then you must be new here. These oldies-but-goodies are for those of us who love a super high-rise and don’t care for stretch. Bonus: they’re under $125!

AG EX BOYFRIEND SLIM JEANS
These are the ones I reach for when I’m just looking for something comfortable and easy. They have a relaxed, slightly slouchy fit to them without being baggy. I love the way they look with sneakers, and despite frequent washes (due to multiple spills from kiddos), they’ve totally retained their shape and the color hasn’t faded a single bit.

PISTOLA DENIM PENNY JEANS
Here’s a hot tip of mine: I always remove the pockets from white jeans. Dark denim hides the pockets and therefore you don’t see the bunching that happens the way you do with white denim. These jeans, however, saved me a trip to the tailor because they don’t have any pockets and I love them for that. But that’s not the only reason to buy them. They’re also super flattering (saying a lot for white denim!) and incredibly comfortable.
