CHIC MATCHING WORKOUT SETS FOR THE GYM AND BEYOND
When it comes to that oft-needed push to get myself to the gym, there’s nothing like a little extrinsic motivation in the form of a new ‘fit. These days, quick and easy is the name of my game, and nothing simplifies fitness style for me like a matching set. It’s a time-saving trick that ensures a put-together look for the gym and beyond.
While I tend to prefer solid colors (read: no crazy prints) for my gym looks, my selection is anything but boring. Whether you’re a loyalist with a drawer full of Nike or prefer the newcomers like Splits59 and Beyond Yoga, there’s no shortage of chic options. If you think Lululemon’s “Align” leggings are the one and only for you, you need to give Beyond Yoga a try. They check all of the boxes (high-rise, staying power, and flattering) my beloved Aligns did, but – believe it or not – they’re more comfortable. They come in lots of great colors, including this beige set that makes for a perfect neutral alternative to black or grey.

The high-rise leggings are super comfortable and I love that they’re offering matching tees for those days when I don’t want to wear a tank. This blue set is a new favorite hue of mine from the brand.

TORY BURCH CREW AND SWEATPANTS SET
Tory Sport always hits the mark for me when it comes to gym attire. I love her tennis looks, of course, but my next favorite would be her sweat sets. They’re straightforward and simple but, as you might expect, expertly tailored so they never look sloppy. While I wouldn’t wear one to a major sweat sesh, they’re great for power walks on the treadmill.

As much as I love pink, I never thought I’d wear it to the gym. Until now. I’ve changed my tune on color when it comes to workout wear and so it’s no surprise that this perfectly-pink set is now a favorite of mine. I usually pair the set with the brand’s long-sleeve “Louise” top in white.

I love a seamless set as it’s usually the most comfortable. Tory Burch makes a great one and has just added this mockneck style top to the collection. The mockneck style just adds such a polished detail. I love the idea of throwing this top on after a sweat sesh to run errands for the day.

This seamless set is just one of several new OV additions to my closet. Available in a variety of fab colors, the set is beyond comfortable and – this is key! – the high-rise leggings never move (read: no constantly adjustments or pulling at the waist during a workout).

Compression is a good thing when it comes to workout wear – until it isn’t. Bad compression results in an ill-fitting and unflattering look – two things you very much do not want in a gym look. This set checks all the right boxes: lightweight material but super compressive, comfortable, and totally sweat proof. I love the deep brown hue and find it to be a year-round favorite – not to mention, perfect for fall.

When it comes to versatility, the Tnuck Sport collection has it down. These leggings come with a matching sports bra that can be worn on its own or easily topped off with any number of white tanks. I really love the oversized fit of the matching pullover. It’s an easy silhouette that makes for a perfect finishing touch.

What would this post be without at least one mention of a tennis set? I’m usually a purist when it comes to court apparel (read: all white) but this pink and red set is hard to resist. I love the keyhole cut-out of the tank.

I find that workout wear is all about layering and having a variety of outerwear options is key. This windbreaker is one of my favorite finishing touches. It’s a perfect pairing for the matching shorts, but looks equally as good with leggings in a similar hue – not to mention, pairs well with navy blue, too.
