My approach to setting a table is the-more-the-merrier. Layering is the name of the game – colors! texture! pattern!- and for the most part, it almost always starts with a bold tablecloth as the base. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t love (and appreciate!) the simplicity of a white tablecloth. There’s nothing more classic or more crisp. The beauty of a white tablecloth is that it’s the ultimate blank canvas. It allows breathing room for the other items on the table and lets the dishes (in this case, my favorite marigold mix of this dinner plate and this salad plate) be the star of the show – not to mention, the silver additions can really shine.
