Hosting any big holiday – but especially Easter – takes a lot of work. A lot of effort goes in to making it feel special and and the only advice I have is to do what you can to prep early. (Oh, and outsource. I’m a big fan of that.) One thing that can be done in advance the table. When I’m hosting, I always get this checked off the list first so I have extra time to fluff at the end – and with Easter, the fluff is essential.

My idea of the perfect Easter table is one that’s elegant, but not fussy. It should be casual, colorful, and, of course, festive with a capital F. The key is figuring out the big moments first (read: dishes) and then go to work on the fluff. The fluff comes in the form of things like illustrated place cards, colorful linens, whimsical accessories (see: these gold foil Etsy eggs and this vintage bunny S&P set), and loads of candy.
