Happy Valentine’s Day! If you’ve been following along with me for even just a short while then you know how much I love the color pink. It’s my favorite – and what better day to celebrate the color than today?

I grew up with a mom who wore pink nearly every day so my affinity for the color goes way, way back. Here’s the thing about pink: it’s the most flattering color of all. I know lots of people who beg to differ but it’s true – a blush hue like the one in this cardigan (on sale!) gives the skin a warm glow. (Fun fact: Party-planner extraordinaire Rebecca Gardner suggests switching your lamps’ lightbulbs to pink ones because it’s so flattering. I did it. She’s right.)

As you’d expect, there’s a lot of pink in my closet (this dreamy velvet blazerI just added to my closet), but that’s not the only place it lives: it pops up in big ways in my home via the table (these dinner plates! these serving spoons!), along with less-obvious moments, too, like the Byredo soap in my office bath and the ink in my stationery. Pink makes me happy so I surround myself with it in any way I can.
