9 CHIC SWEATERS TO ADD TO YOUR CART

Winter dressing is tough for me. Unlike summer when I simply throw on a dress and a pair of sandals and call it a day, winter requires more layers, more steps, more effort. Having some sort of uniform makes the process a little easier and for me, it’s usually a pair of jeans (just ordered these), ballet flats or boots, and some sort of knit. The knitwear is key and takes the place of my white t-shirt this time of year, which makes having an assortment of styles – from oversized turtlenecks to embellished cardigans – is essential.

Now – just before the temperatures really start to drop – is the perfect time to stock up on some new knits. Below, a few styles worth calling out along with a shopping list of all my favorites at the end.

WORTH THE INVESTMENT

The best sweaters are the ones you’ll love and wear for years and years. Investing in quality is key and totally worth it. This turtleneck from Khaite is a personal favorite of mine. It’s easily one of the most comfortable knits I own and even after lots of wear over the last couple of years, it still looks brand new.

JUST FOR FUN

Not all knits need to be straightforward classics. I often find that the ones with a unique print or unexpected color get just as much wear over the years. I adore this one from Sea New York. The fruit print is so charming, and the puff sleeve gives it a little something extra.

NEW(ISH) NAME TO KNOW

If you peeked in my shopping cart right now, you’d find at least two knits (including this cardigan) from new-to-me designer Lisa Yang. I am obsessed with all of her sweaters, each one more timeless and chic than the next.
